Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-25
This policy covers every app hosted under joshua-hunt.net apart from photos.joshua-hunt.net.
Individual apps might have more specific privacy policies if they collect additional data.
Who runs these apps
Joshua Hunt (joshua.edward.hunt@gmail.com)
What is collected
- Google OAuth: if you use Google's OAuth to log in, then the apps on this site will receive your email address and name from Google. They don't collect any other data from Google.
- IP address and other information your browser sends in headers.
- Information you explicitly enter into a text field in an app.
Why it is collected
- Your email address (from Google OAuth) is used to ensure that only authorised people can access the app and to keep each user's data separate.
- Your IP address and headers may be used to counter abuse, to increase security, and for troubleshooting. I don't use this information to track or profile anyone, and don't tend to read the server logs they appear in anyway.
- Information you explicitly enter will in general only be saved if necessary for the app to function. See each app's privacy policy, if any, for more specific information.
Where it is stored and for how long
- If the app stores data in its database, then your email address and the data you explicitly entered are stored in the database until your account is deleted.
- Your IP address and headers may appear in server logs, which are stored for at most one month.
The VPS and its storage are located in the EU.
Who it is shared with
I don't intentionally share your data with anyone. Google's OAuth goes via their servers and I don't control what data they collect. My VPS provider hosts the server that stores all this data and presumably has some level of access to it.
Your choices
If you want to have your data deleted or exported, please contact me and I will arrange this. You also have the right to complain to supervisory authorities, which in my case is probably BayLDA. (But do try complaining to me directly first!)
